Professor of Cardiology
Ran Kornowski is a full-time Professor of Cardiology in Tel Aviv University and Chairman of the Department of Cardiology and Cardiac Catheterization Institute at Rabin Medical Center in Petach-Tikva, the largest academic cardiology department in Israel and the immediate past Chairman of the Israeli Working Group on Interventional Cardiology of the Israeli Heart Society. His professional experience includes a fellowship and working at Washington Hospital Center, Washington DC in USA.
Prof. Kornowski is a world known cardiologist, a scholar and academic researcher. His reputation is derived from experimental studies in the field of myocardial stem cell transplantation, gene therapy, complex coronary interventions, valve interventions and cardiac imaging. He is an active and highly respected member of various medical societies worldwide and has published and lectured widely on the subject of cardiac interventions, catheterizations and therapeutics.

- Graduate of the Medical Faculty of the Hebrew University, Jerusalem
- 1986 – completed his residency in cardiology at Ichilov hospital, Tel-Aviv
- 1996-1998 – fellowship in invasive cardiology and catheterization at the Washington DC Heart Center, USA
- 2000-2013 – Director – Interventional Cardiology, Rabin Medical Center
