Pediatric hematology
Familiar with all blood diseases from infancy to young adulthood. Red blood cell disorders – anemia, thalassemia, spherocytosis, etc. White blood cell disorders – neutropenia, leukocytosis, eosinophilia, etc. Platelet disorders – thrombocytopenia, problems with thrombocyte function, etc. Blood clotting problems – predisposition to bleeding and hypercoagulation.
