Dr. Shimon Maimon works in the field of invasive Neuroradiology in Israel. He performes all types of treatments in the field. This include all the types of aneurysm treatments – simple coiling, remodeling technique, stenting and coiling, covered stent for wide neck aneurysm and flow diverters. He has deployed more than 250 stents.
A.V.M treatments (around 800 treatments), with more than 250 Onyx patient cases. Stenting of the Carotid artery.
Embolization of Dural AVF (around 100 cases) in the spine and intracranial including venous approach. Embolization of Tumors and Venous malformation. (This includes direct puncture in extra cranial lesion, with Alcohol and other materials).
He has profound experience in MRI and CT of the CNS includes CTA and MRA. And also experience in Invasive and diagnostic Radiology, with more than 10 years.

Dr. Shimon Maimon graduated from Tel Aviv University’s Medical School.

- March 1995 First prize winner of the MRI quiz, in the Israeli MRI Conference, Herzelia, Israel.
- 1984 Dean’s List for Outstanding Studies (6 th year medical studies).
- 1982 Dean’s List for Outstanding Studies (4 th year medical studies).
- 1981 President’s List for Outstanding Studies (3 th year medical studies).
- 1980 Dean’s List for Outstanding Studies (second year medical studies).
To date he has been published over 100 articles in the field of invasive radiology and takes active part in research aimed at improving stent quality and developing innovative methods of treating intracranial malformations.
Dr. Maimon is a senior Lecture at the Tel Aviv University.
