Prof. Abid R Assali

Interventional Cardiologist

Professor Abid R Assali is affiliated to Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at the Beilinson Hospital of the Rabin MC. For more than 30 years he has been working as a cardiologist and has an interventional cardiology specialization since 1988. in interventional cardiology since 1988. Prof. Assali conducts an active research in the development and application of various techniques for cardiac catherization and stenting. Today Pr. Assali holds a position of a clinical professor at the Department of Cardiology at the Sackler School of Medicine, Tel Aviv University.

Professor Abid R Assali performs the full range of adult cardiac operations. His areas of interest include stenting and catheterization, minimally invasive surgery, coronary revascularization.
He continues to stay abreast of the latest developments in cardiac research and some of his recent publications include reviews on various aspects of cardiology including complications of stenting and the pharmacology of stent thrombosis.
